Beginning Plans!

My sorority ladies and my sister and her fellow crafters are beginning to plan a fundraiser for me, which I think is wonderful. I know that it is a lot of work, but these ladies are all well organized and creative. My sister is planning on organizing stamping up stations, where you can make various projects with stamps, card stock, etc. It is really amazing what you can produce.

My sister makes fantastic cards. She even let me borrow some of her stampers and paper to amuse myself. I know what you are thinking. Jeez, it doesn't take much to amuse her. When it comes to crafting, I am a happy camper. I can sit, create, take a break, eat a snack or two, craft some more and drive my Mom nuts by asking her what she thinks about my latest creations.

I have been making all sorts of snowmen-big, tall, wide, small, slender, tree decorations, snowmen signs and more. It isn't even winter yet and I am already creating these snowmen characters. They are so cute.

I am going to be painting some Santa Claus'. I just love Papa Noel for so many reasons. I am going to do two canvasses. I finished Humpty Dumpty. I must say that he was adorable and Ashlyn's grandma just loves him. They have hung him up already in Ashlyn's new bedroom. I talked to her the other day when I phoned my sister and she was laughing and giggling. Helen says she is a happy girl most of the time. My sister loves Ashlyn. She is a lucky girl to have my sister. She is so dedicated to all children, especially those that are in need of help.

So, now, I am making and have already made some crafty items for my fundraiser. I would like to make 20 items for the Chinese Auction. I am having a lot of fun painting, creating, putting together all the pieces to make a complete project while trying to find the correct paintbrush, the color of paint I want, scissors, tape, glue-without gluing my fingers together, ribbon, bows, string, etc. Mom's dining room is littered with all of my "junk".

As Mom keeps watching me start a new painting project while the other one is drying, she is heard to exclaim that I need a house with 10 rooms, then she adds that I need a home with 15 rooms. Currently, we are at 20 rooms. I told her , "No way. I am getting rid of these crafts." I love to paint and craft as a means to de-stress and socialize and accomplish something in the process. But, I don't want to keep any of it. So, the MIBISIGI event and my fundraiser will be receiving some of my crafty crafts soon.

May all your plans work out from the beginning to the end.
