James is Home!

My mom's brother, James is finally home after many weeks in the hospital and he is doing well. I spoke with him this past weekend and he was out with Uncle Larry collecting golf balls and enjoying breakfast out.

Jimmy is our ray of sunshine as he is so adorable. I told him that after my lung transplant, his sister Marge and myself, MarDale would be out to visit and make him his favorite meal. He was in favor of this. I, also, suggested that we go out for some ice cream and that suggestion turned into a definite yes. I asked him if he could direct me to the ice cream parlor. He said, "Yes, ma'am." He gave me the address of his favorite ice cream parlor. I just may have to try one of each flavor as Uncle Larry has confirmed that the ice cream there is delicious. Well, bring it on. I've got my spoon ready. My mom is the the Queen of Banana Splits. She makes this her dinner from time to time. So, I now know where I get such a voracious appetite. Perhaps, from my mom?!!!! Just kidding, mom. It is the prednisone talking. That's why I look like a cream puff. And what a cream puff, I am. Hmm... a cream puff sounds good about now.

I am sure that Jimmy would agree with me. He is like Mikey, he loves everything or maybe, he is like me because I can eat everything and then some. Jimmy and I are more than ready for our ice cream cones, however I am betting that my mom goes for a banana split with all the toppings and 3 different types of ice cream-strawberry, vanilla and possibly chocolate. What will I win? You got it, a banana split of my choice!!! So, grab a spoon and dig in before the ice cream all melts and leaves you a milk shake.

May you go to the ice cream parlor of your choice and just savor a cold treat on a hot summer day. It can't get any better than a few scoops of ice cream that melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting to return for another scoop.
