Exploring a Little Piece of Heaven Here on Earth

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read an e-mail from my friend, Marcia, telling me that two traveling ladies from my sorority were headed for my beloved piece of heaven here on earth, Eze.

Ironically, they had visited there last year on a cruise, but soon after, their ship hit a rock and became disabled. They were flown home and given tickets for a new cruising adventure this year. This time, the two traveling companions will be starting off in Greece and ending up in Eze. No better way to end a holiday than exploring and experiencing Eze. I hope they will have a glass of wine on the quaint terrace overlooking the eye catching Mediterranean Sea, where the bluish water is so mesmerizing, while saluting their good fortunate in finding such an idyllic spot. Yes, I am making a toast to the ladies, too. They couldn't have chosen a better place. With all my meds., I'll be toasting with water instead of fine wine and bubbly champagne. As I tell people, I am a DWIer, I drink water instead. For many years, I had to drink a gallon of water per day because I was taking a chemo drug that suppressed my immune system, so that my immune system would not try to destroy itself.

A gallon of water!! Yes, that's right. I am sure you are now thinking, what about the bathroom? We are on the best of terms. I must say it is not easy traveling and finding restroom facilities. You learn where all the pit stops are from here to Albany and back. I am going to write a book about the ambiance of restrooms along life's highway. They will be rated by cleanliness, running water to wash your hands, soap available, does the toilet actually flush, can you close the door and it stays shut, is there enough room to turn around, especially with an oxygen tank on wheels, whether the decor is inviting, etc. I am sure you could add to this list. Now, how did I get on this topic?

For your information, the cleanest of clean in restrooms on the road and big stalls, where you can move around with ease with an oxygen tank in tow are in Indiana. I do believe I will be vacationing in Indiana where the toilets are calling my name. Keep me apprised of your restroom finds at www.toiletsacrossamerica.com. Just kidding!!

May you toast the finer things in life for yourself and may you find clean toilets and spacious stalls while traveling. Bon voyage!!
