Taking Flight

Yesterday, off I went to Albany Med. to have a flight simulated test that lets me know how much oxygen I need for my Angel Flight trip to Pittsburgh. I had my cannula on one tank and a mask covering my cannula and half my face along with an oximeter on my finger that checks my oxygen levels and heart rate. I was "wired" as you can imagine.

After sitting there for a bit, the pulmonary technician, who had hooked me all up, asked me to get up and walk. I couldn't go that far as I was pulling my tank and my plastic lines wouldn't let me go that far. As I was walking in a forward and reverse path, my technician noticed that my shoe had come untied. So, I stopped to bend over to retie it. Well, with all the lines hanging off of me, they were bound to become tangled. So, my technician bent over to tie my shoe for me for fear that I would trip and take flight. I said to her, it was bad enough that she had to hook me up, but now she was tying my shoe for me. We joked that we should have taken a picture of that as I probably looked pretty strange at that point.

May your lines never cross and you have someone to tie your shoes when you need help.
